In-House League
November - December
This year, the LCYB will be operating an in-house youth basketball and cheerleading league for boys and girls currently in Grades 3, 4, 5, & 6. Practices will begin the week of November 3rd with their respective teams.
In-house games will be played at Lynchburg-Clay Schools on Saturdays (all day) or Sunday afternoons beginning November 15th and ending December 20th. Dates, times, and locations for these will be sent out once registration is complete.
Tri-County League
January - February
The LCYB will compete in the Tri-County Youth Basketball League beginning on Saturday, January 3rd. The Tri-County Youth Basketball League consists of seven other school programs: East Clinton, Wilmington, Clinton-Massie, Washington C.H., Greenfield McClain, Hillsboro, and Fairfield. This league starts on Saturday, January 3rd, and ends on Sunday, February 8th. Games are played on Saturdays (all day) and Sunday afternoons. There will be ten (10) games in the Tri-County Youth Basketball League. There will be an admission fee at all games (Adult $ 3.00, Students/Seniors $ 2.00).
We will field one team per grade and gender in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6. Teams will consist of at least 10 players, given the number of players registered at each grade level. Cheerleaders will be permitted to travel and cheer at games throughout the league.
Players must participate in the In-House League to be selected for the team that enters the Tri-County League.
Registration will open Monday, September 22nd, and run through Monday, October 13th. We will only accept online registration through our website at www.lcyb.org, and payment must be made via the registration link using PayPal.
THERE WILL BE NO LATE REGISTRATIONS TAKEN AFTER THIS DATE.
The LCYB will cover the insurance fees for each player and team, as well as any applicable tournament fees. We are asking each player to pay a registration fee of $50.00. The LCYB will be hosting games this year. We will be asking parents and players to work these games (setup, concessions, ticket takers, timekeepers, and cleanup). We will have a site manager for the In-house games and the Tri-County Youth Basketball League home games.
The OHSAA (Ohio High School Athletic Association) rules prohibit a member school from participating in interscholastic athletic contests below Grade 7. This is not a school-sponsored program. Lynchburg-Clay Local Schools has granted the LCYB permission to use their facilities for games and practices as long as they do not interfere with school activities. The teams will be called Lynchburg-Clay, but are not sponsored by Lynchburg-Clay Local Schools.
Since this program is not associated with the school, please do not call the school with questions about the youth basketball program. Direct any questions to your coach or lynchburgclayyouthbasketball@gmail.com. We are excited to begin another successful basketball season!
